Description:
We are a new Beijing-based internet start-up company, looking for a Graphics Designer and Web Developer to help create our website.

Our target market is profitable and growing fast, but has yet to benefit from technological innovation. Our data driven solution combines ecommerce and social networking functionality to solve many of the problems faced in this industry, and looks set to be a very exciting project.

Graphics Designer Position:

Having completed our market research, our target audience is now well understood. We are looking for a graphic designer to help us define our brand and create a set of attractive, professional, and user friendly website pages.

The successful applicant(s) will be responsible for:

· Designing our company logo (both an image and the stylised name)
· Defining the site elements such as colour scheme, font etc
· Creating all the pages of the website in image format, to later be used by the web developer in creating the html/css

Web Developer Position:

The required site elements have been clearly defined in a specification document, and the processes have been finalised in a set of flowcharts. A skilled web developer is needed to produce a completed navigable html/css user interface.

The successful applicant(s) will be responsible for:
· Turning the images supplied by the graphic designer into fast, usable web pages
· Ensuring all pages are web standards compliant and maximising accessibility
· Working with our web programmer in selecting and developing the interface between the web layer and the backend

We welcome applications from individuals capable of operating in both these roles, as well as applications for each position.

The successful applicant(s) will work closely with us every day, either from home or at our premises, and will have direct creative input into the project at all stages.

This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your talents to a global audience, and enjoy the freedom to code a site from scratch in your own way. To be considered for this opportunity you should be independent and self-motivated, be full of creative ideas, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. Fluent English is essential.

There is huge potential for this project to grow very rapidly – as such, you would be asked to lead the development of future releases and upgrades to the site, and help manage additional technical staff as they are brought onto the project.

We are looking for the best talent Beijing has to offer, and are willing to offer a competitive rate of pay plus a bonus. Please send your CV, a portfolio of your work, and references, to: webdeveloperapplications@googlemail.com
